This is pathetic but absolutely true. I can say this because this happened to me. I am a fresh graduate from business faculty. I learnt about accounting and finance. People will expect me to work in a public accounting firm or a reputable company. In my deepest heart, I am not sure whether I have passion to work in a company. I love dynamic work, not the monotone type, and I personally think that working in a company as accounting staff is not my passion. I had accounting internship experience and I realized that this type of job is just not made for me. I never regret my decision to take accounting major. Accounting is fun, the knowledge is applicable and useful. I will never think that my college time is a waste. There is no such a waste knowledge in this world.
Being different or out of normal custom will make you considered weird or crazy, but innovation mostly came from craziness right? When society said that something is impossible, it means that can not be done by normal people, but by the ones who are full of innovation, courage, and willingness to hard work. Many people will be so judgemental and say negative thing about out of the box idea. Saying negative thing and giving constructive suggestion is totally different thing of course. I don't mind receiving many many many suggestions for improving myself, but negative comments? I try not to care although it does hurt. Everybody has right to decide his/her own career path whether it's started from professional career or from jumping in into entrepreneurship.
I've learnt too many times that being positive in this world full of negative thought is the only thing that can keep me survived. So, just close our ears for something negative and let the positive vibe surrounds you.
